Alexa.com - nonsense or useful?

by KendoMonkey on Monday, 31 July 2006
Alexa.com has, what some webmasters would call, a "Traffic Rankings" function that allows you to view your rank in respect to the rest of the billions of websites on the WWW. But how useful is it? How is it used? What does it prove? I've attempted to answer some of these questions in this blog entry...

Can movie buffs enjoy blockbuster films?

by KendoMonkey on Tuesday, 27 June 2006
It's an interesting question, I hope interesting enough to gain your interest and maintain it through this brief foray into the mind of the movie buff. Of course, first we have to define what is meant by "movie buff". Naturally, movie buffs vary massively in their tastes, predilictions and how "human" they are. Duels Review - The Bright Lights and What I Should Have Learned

by KendoMonkey on Thursday, 22 June 2006

by KendoMonkey on Thursday, 15 June 2006
Duels are close to releasing their new album "The Bright Lights And What I Should Have Learned". After releasing their single Animal and finding that their fan base was sufficiently satisfied...the press is still left wondering what has happened to Duels - what have they been doing for the last 12 months after bursting onto the scene so successfully?...

Cute Brunt o' the Day

lunar libel

The first case of lunar libel was Moon vs Wallace and Gromit (1989) after it was insinuated that the moon was made of nothing but an inconclusive variety of cheese. The matter was settled out of court for an unspecified sum (although it has been rumoured that it also involved Wallace and a wedge of Somerset Brie shoved unceremoniously 'where the sun don't shine').

The moon, in fact, is a large ovoid sponge made out of CO-OP berber offcuts and impregnated with lemon juice and the tears of a wee ginger lass from the Isle of Lewis.
